Atelier Français was born from a deep belief: quality education should be accessible to everyone.
Over 10 years ago, our founder, Ellie, opened her first French language school in Sofia, Bulgaria — responding to a clear and urgent need for high-quality, affordable language education. Her goal was simple but powerful: to inspire learners and contribute to a more open, educated, and connected society.
With a background of living, studying, and working in Bulgaria, Belgium, Switzerland, and now France, she has built her teaching philosophy around cultural awareness, inclusivity, and the unique potential of every learner.
Today, Ellie continues her mission through Atelier Français — constantly creating and evolving new methods that adapt to each student’s needs, learning style, and natural brain functions.
Her main focus is on neurolinguistic approaches, using science-backed techniques to make learning French not only easier, but more meaningful and lasting.
She also incorporates positive pedagogy and active learning methods, which empower students to gain confidence, stay motivated, and achieve exceptional results through engagement and encouragement.
